Auriculo 3D Legacy Software

Auriculo 3D has been discontinued and is now legacy software with an end-of-life status.

Support for Auriculo 3D ends on August 1, 2021.

What Does This Mean?

• 9 Years Old
• Impossible to keep functional
• Only available on computers
• Limited 3D Function

Auriculo 3D was cutting-edge software when was first released in 2012. Nobody had done anything like this in the Auriculotherapy field. But as computers and 3D technology have advanced, it’s become increasingly difficult to keep Auriculo 3D up-to-date and operational on both old and new computers. Updates to computers and operating systems gradually exclude older technology like Auriculo 3D.

Additionally, the 3D portion of the software only runs on actual computers. This wasn’t a problem in 2012, but modern users demand apps for their portable devices. Some of our users don’t even own computers anymore, instead preferring phones and tablets for their technology needs. Likewise, other customers have requested an Auricular reference application that syncs data between their computers and mobile devices.

The modern solution to all these issues is Auriculo 360. We engineered an entirely new application from the ground up to ensure we can keep it up-to-date and cutting edge on all your screens: computer, phone and tablet. And it’s now fully 3D, instead of being 2D software with a 3D bolt- on portion. Best of all, it syncs your data, notes and protocols between all your devices so you always have access to all your information.

The upshot is that at you are free to keep using Auriculo 3D, but at some point, as you update your computer or operating system, Auriculo 3D will no longer work on your device.

But don’t worry! We always take care of our customers and we have options to make sure you have access to the software you need.

So What are my Options?

Option #1
Keep using Auriculo 3D

Though Auriculo 360 is much more modern, complete and capable, there’s no immediate reason you must stop using Auriculo 3D. We don’t have an exact timeline of when it will be impossible for us to update Auriculo 3D so that it works on both old and current computers, but we will continue to support Auriculo 3D through August 1, 2021.

It’s likely you’ll be able to use Auriculo 3D after that date, but at some point, your computer will no longer work with the Auriculo 3D software. When that happens, you are welcome to get Auriculo 360.

Once the installer has been downloaded, double-click it to start the installation process.

Option #2
Upgrade to Auriculo 360

Auriculo 360 is a completely different application than Auriculo 3D. Rather than being a 2D application with a 3D option, the entire program is built on a 3D ear model. Plus, you can have it on your phone, your computer AND your tablet so you have full 3D functionality wherever you go.

By upgrading to Auriculo 360, you ensure you’ll have access to the latest, greatest auriculotherapy reference tool on the market, and that it will continue to work on your devices into the future as you upgrade your computer, phone and tablet.

Other Questions?

  • What happens after support for Auriculo 3D ends on August 1, 2021?

After August 1, 2021, Auriculo 3D will enter End of Life Status, and we will not be releasing any more software updates. Auriculo 3D was programmed many, many years ago, and the way the 3D portion works offers challenges with new computer systems that no amount of upgrading can fix. This is partly why we created Auriculo 360.

At some point, your Auriculo 3D will stop working on your devices. When that happens will depend upon your operating system, whether you install new operating system updates, and the age of your device. We anticipate that it will continue working for most users for quite some time, but we can’t guarantee any length of time past August 1st, 2021.

Once Auriculo 3D enters End of Life Status, we will no longer be able to offer technical support or troubleshooting assistance. If you choose to continue using Auriculo 3D, just keep in mind that you won’t be able to schedule technical support with us. We do hope that it will continue to function for you, and that you can continue to use it for many years to come.

  • If I don't upgrade to Auriculo 360, how long will my Auriculo 3D continue to work?

At some point, your Auriculo 3D will stop working on your devices. When that happens will depend upon your operating system, whether you install new operating system updates, and the age of your device. We anticipate that it will continue working for most users for quite some time, but we can’t guarantee any length of time past August 1st, 2021.

You are welcome to continue using Auriculo 3D until it stops working on your device, at which point you’d be welcome to switch to Auriculo 360.

  • Why does Auriculo 360 require a yearly subscription?

As technology grows more advanced year after year, software must be continually updated to stay compliant with new requirements and function smoothly. Most software purchases nowadays require an annual or monthly service plan to operate (think Microsoft Suite, Adobe, Spotify, Netflix, etc).

Auriculo 360 offers cross-device syncing, and multiple device support. These are powerful services that require secure and encrypted cloud-based storage to keep your custom data safe and secure. Cloud-based storage isn’t cheap. But just imagine how awesome it will be to add a custom note to Auriculo 360, and then see the same note on your phone with no extra effort. It’s a beautiful thing.

Year after year, you’ll continue to enjoy the benefits of Auriculo 360 with frequent updates and upgrades based on user feedback and system requirements. We truly believe that Auriculo 360 is worth the yearly fee. When you break it down to its monthly cost, it’s about the same price as your Netflix subscription! A powerful point location tool and auriculotherapy database to use at home or in your clinic for the same price as your evening binge-watching fix? That’s a no-brainer!

  • Can I run both Auriculo 3D and Auriculo 360 on the same device?

Yes, you can keep using Auriculo 3D and also download Auriculo 360! Since these softwares are completely separate, they will be separate programs on your computer, or separate apps on your phone or tablet. If you purchased Auriculo 3D, we want you to be able to continue to use and enjoy it for as long as it works on your device. But, to be honest, we think you’ll like Auriculo 360 even better. So give it a try!

  • How do I transfer my custom points and protocols from Auriculo 3D to Auriculo 360?

Unfortunately, there is just no conceivable way for us to set up a transfer service to move custom data from Auriculo 3D to Auriculo 360. If you want to move your custom data, you’ll have to do so manually.

On the bright side, since you can actively run both softwares on your device, you can have them open side by side, making for an easy process of transferring data with copy and paste.
